Hearst San Simeon State Historical Monument
Hearst Castle was once the private home of publisher
William Randolph Hearst and is now a California State Historical Monument and State Park. The estate, overlooking the spectacular
California coast was the shared design endeavor of architect Julia Morgan and William Randolph Hearst. Craftsmen labored for
twenty-eight years under their direction to combine architectural design and the collections of Mr. Hearst into La Cuesta
Encantada® "The Enchanted Hill".

"It's the most distinctive house in America.
Certainly there are larger private residences....more formal, more predictable, more opulent ones. But there's not a mansion
on either side of the Mississippi that can hold a candleabra to Hearst Castle, in San Simeon, California." Town and Country Magazine
